The Senior Project Manager role supports this growth by ensuring major construction projects are planned, managed, monitored, and delivered with discipline and accountability.
About the role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from inception to completion. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead multiple projects simultaneously and ensure delivery is safe, timely, cost-controlled, and aligned with approved drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
You will work closely with project engineers, supervisors, site teams, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and senior leadership. The role requires a project leader who is highly practical, technically strong, commercially aware, and comfortable moving between planning, site execution, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
What you will be responsible for
Leading project delivery
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from inception through completion.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and delivery milestones.
- Monitor project progress closely and ensure timely completion of agreed milestones.
- Identify project risks early and implement practical mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and internal delivery expectations.
Managing construction and site operations
- Oversee construction activities across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing works.
- Ensure all work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and construction regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to keep execution aligned.
- Resolve site-level delivery issues quickly while maintaining safety, quality, budget, and schedule discipline.
Strengthening budget and cost control
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, cost reports, variations, claims, and commercial risks.
- Implement cost-control measures that protect project profitability and reduce avoidable waste.
- Review and approve project procurement requirements and resource allocation in line with approved plans.
- Provide accurate reporting on project costs, budget position, and forecasted risks.
- Support management decision-making with clear commercial and operational insights.
Driving quality, safety, and compliance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, project specifications, HSE regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor quality inspections, testing activities, defects, and non-conformance issues.
- Implement corrective actions that address root causes and prevent repeat issues.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project sites.
- Track safety performance and ensure corrective actions are completed with urgency and accountability.
Leading teams and stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop project engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Foster teamwork, ownership, communication, and accountability across project teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates, management reports, and clear communication on risks, progress, and decisions required.

Success in this role requires someone who is calm under pressure, credible on site, clear in communication, strong with people, and able to balance schedule, budget, quality, safety, and stakeholder expectations without losing control of the detail.
Your strong foundation
Experience
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in construction project management.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale construction projects.
- Experience delivering residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, contractors, consultants, budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Track record of improving project delivery, strengthening accountability, and resolving complex site and delivery issues.
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification, such as PMP, would be an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, construction regulations, and contract administration.
- A strong understanding of FIDIC contracts is preferred.
Technical and operational skills
- Project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Construction coordination across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing works.
- Quality assurance, HSE compliance, site inspections, non-conformance management, and corrective actions.
- Contractual compliance, variations, claims, procurement coordination, and stakeholder reporting.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Communication and leadership
- Lead teams with clarity, confidence, consistency, and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with executives, clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, project engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Negotiate, influence, and resolve project-related issues in a professional and commercially aware manner.
- Make sound decisions under pressure and provide clear direction when priorities shift.
- Create a project culture where people understand what matters, what is expected, and how success will be measured.
